Subject: June 2011 Family Reunion

Dear Family,

Here is the reunion information again to help everyone better plan for this wonderful time together.  Bolded items are things you need to take action on, so please don't forget.  I'm counting on you.

We're staying at Winter Park resort in Colorado. It is located a few miles north of I-70 up hwy 40 in the Rocky Mountains. We will stay in a 5000sf bed and breakfast (9br/9ba) that will accomodate all adults and teens and some kids in beds and plenty of room for the rest. It is called "The Pines" http://wpvr.net/properties/PINES.php

You'll be matched with 3 buddy families for the three days of your stay.  I need names!--Please send me a list of the three families you don't get to see much.  Day one will be a check-in buddy who you'll help settle in comfortably.  Ideas for this would be taking turns watching kids while you unload cars and ready your rooms for the stay, leaving chocolates on pillows, flowers in vases etc. hee hee:)  Day two will be someone who is compatible with you at more of a mountain amusement park type environment.  Day three is a choose your own adventure with your buddy family day.  You can gang up and make it several families if everyone wants to do the same thing.  Just make sure your buddy family is happy.  Also remember that you need to be home by dinner (5:30) and family movie festival this night (Friday night).  And remember, it's only a festival if everyone has a movie to show.

REUNION DATES: JUNE 29,30 & JULY 1 (WEDNESDAY - FRIDAY night, Saturday check-out)

Wednesday, June 29: Arrive as early as morning if you can make it, visit, walk/hike, eat, make crafts with Sharleen

Thursday, June 30: Summer activities at Winter Park resort (see attachment for list of activities and ticket prices)

Friday, July 31: pick your activity with your buddy family of the day--relax in the on-site jacuzzi (bring your suit), hike, golf, river raft, horseback ride, hot air balloon rides, mountain ranch museum, mountain bike, walk or ride to shops at Winter Park, do crafts with Sharleen (she'll announce her at home hours for this), go to the Phoenix Gold mine (currently operating--could be very intersting in light of Larry Hilton's Sound Money Act recently voted in for the State of Utah)

Saturday, July 2: check out at 10 a.m. and no worries about cleaning (maids will do it--no cleaning fee since we're staying 3 nights, yea!)

Costs:

Lodging - $500 for each night in June and $600 for night in July = $1600 total divided between all of us--bargain!  Thank you to those who sent me their deposits.  I'll send the remaining bill for lodgings and have you send that to me by June 1st.

Food - kids 2 and under eat free, everyone else will be responsible to reimburse the Perry's for their per capita share of the Costco food expenses to be calculated once the shopping is done on Wednesday, June 29th.  Breakfast and dinner will be provided. Lunches are on your own, but I'll get snack foods to keep us going late into the night.

Look at both attachments. The safety one will help you know what to pack.
